Police said Freeman threatened

the park owner who confronted him after Freeman was seen urinating in

a lake at the park.

State Court Solicitor Steve

Harris said the punishment was appropriate, particularly since the incident

led to Freeman's dismissal from his job at the Riverdale Police Department.

The no contest plea is not

technically a conviction, but it can be considered as evidence by the

Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, which governs the certification

of police officers in Georgia, Harris said.
