This is the hospital's
fifth blood drive in the past nine months. According to the American Red
Cross, one person needs blood every two seconds in the United States.
That adds up to about four million people each year.
"We are urging everyone
who is able to please come out and donate blood," said Nelson.
In addition to the drive, the
health fair will offer blood glucose screenings, cholesterol screenings,
blood pressure screenings, cancer awareness and prevention, stroke awareness
and prevention tips, information on chronic diseases.
