Confirmation class begins at

FFUMC

The confirmation class for

spring 2004 will begin with an orientation class on Sunday, Jan. 25, at

9:50 a.m., at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. The class is

open to sixth graders and other youth who have not taken the class. The

group will meet in the youth room. The annual spiritual retreat for the

confirmands is Friday through Sunday, Feb. 20-22. For more information,

PTC UMC to offer divorce care

series

Those who are recently divorced,

contemplating divorce, or separated are invited to attend a 14-week Biblically

based course of study on divorce care recovery. The first class will begin

on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson

Road. The series involves viewing a video while taking notes in a workbook

followed by group discussion. The group will meet in room 300 from 7-9

p.m. There is no charge for the 14-week study and free child care is provided.

You do not have to be a member of the church to attend. Those who are

The Notre Dame Club of Atlanta

and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School Chorus present An Evening of

Music Christmas Carols, a cappella motets and selections from Handel's

Messiah Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Fine Arts Auditorium,

861 Ga. Hwy. 279 in Fairburn. The high school choral director is Sally

Coleman and the Notre Dame Chorale director is Alexander Blachly. Admission
