"The auctions

were fantastic on both nights! On Friday, Sept. 26 Donna O'Kelly of Donna

O'Kelly Realtors, Inc. won the bid with $3,100; on Saturday, Sept. 27

Geoff and Diane Stone of Metalforming, Inc. won the bid with $5,700,"

said amphitheater director Donna Romeo. "Both nights Jennifer Bowen

kept the bids rising as she pursued the purchase of at least one of the

two guitars, but to no avail. It is so exciting to have two local companies

give so much to a wonderful local organization such as the Fayette County

Special Olympics."

The Amphitheater

staff, including Joel Dunnington, Jessica Romeo, Julie Rushin, Peggy Schnitzer,

Judi Rutherford and Michael Crofton have all worked very hard this entire

season to make this auction a success. Bill McDonald once again did a

terrific job as auctioneer.
