Thirty students

are selected annually to participate in this prestigious class designed

to give students an opportunity to examine and explore their potential

role as our community's future leaders. The Youth Leadership Fayette Class

is offered at no cost to the participants.

Each year Youth

Leadership candidates participate in a comprehensive ten week program

designed to enhance awareness of government and private industry operations,

planning and development practices, whole understanding, and developing

individual leadership and team building skills. The program is designed

to further prepare students for post college opportunities and encourage

further leadership participation in our community.

Applications

are available through local area high school guidance counselors, the

Board of Education and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.

All applications

must be received at the Chamber office by 4 p.m. Nov. 3 for consideration.

Applications may be mailed to 200 Courthouse Square, Fayetteville, GA

30214 or delivered in person to the Chamber at the old courthouse building

in Fayetteville. The Chamber's office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday

through Friday.
