The development
will have 151 single family detached homes featuring Turn of the Century
styles with prices starting in the $200,000s, and three of the recorded
sales were among these homes. The builder team is composed of established
and well known local companies, including Mike Harrell & Associates,
Ravin Homes, and Ray Wright Homes. In addition to these Classic American
Village and Cottage homes, there will also be 22 Estate homes on larger
homesites.
The other three
sales were in the section of 30 townhouses which are being built by Chris
Dixon & Associates, another well known member of the local building
community. These townhouses are priced from $189,000 to $230,000. The
first two townhome buildings are priced to give the first 11 buyers a
$5,000 incentive to purchase. The next seven-unit building will have a
$5,000 increase in price, and the ensuing 12 units will be enlarged and
the price will increase.
The sales and
marketing team in The Villages at LaFayette Park is composed of Ann W.
Roghelia and Jane Foster of Lee-Dixon Realty, DeSales and Roch deGolian
of Ravin Homes, and Marcia Bolton and Sheila Jordan of Re/Max Around Atlanta
All-Stars as the on-site agents. The sales center phone number is 770-461-7030.
In addition
to the residential units, the community will also contain several parks,
a junior olympic pool, playground, and commercial and office space. With
the builders closing on the remaining residential homesites, the swimming
pool construction will begin with expected completion in spring of 2004.
Also located
on the property is The Villages Amphitheater. This facility, which opened
late last September, is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and
managed by Main Street Tourism Assoc. A multiuse venue representing all
aspects of the cultural arts and educational community, it was designed
to fit the architectural emphasis of Main Street with its brick accents
and "Turn of the Century" lighting. The amphitheater is located
on a three-acre tract at the intersection of LaFayette Avenue and Tiger
Trail and shares the parking lot at Fayette County High School.
