At the next

meeting, more officers will be announced and appointed. The initial slate

of officers will serve until the club is off and running, hopefully by

Oct. 1, at which time there will be a formal process of calling for nominations

and electing officers during a club meeting.

There has been

considerable interest in the club and current members are looking forward

to Thursday's meeting in anticipation of welcoming new members. This effort

is expected to bring the current membership enrollment from 16 to 20 plus,

the number required to charter with Toastmasters International.

Toastmasters is open to anyone interested in becoming a better speaker

and learning leadership skills. Founding membership dues are only $34,

which includes the Toastmasters kit and Communications and Leadership
