Someone can
also choose to "sponsor" a child by getting all the needed items
for that particular child based on his or her grade level, Herbert said.
Sharon Herbert
of DFCS said the agency has a list of needed school supplies on hand and
anyone wishing to help may call her directly at 770-460-2586.
While cash
or gift cards are accepted, it can take a while to be processed through
the accounting process so it would be better if the supplies could be
donated, Herbert said.
The children
in need of the supplies range from pre-kindergartners to high school seniors.
