Tristan's book,

"Johnny the Hero," is a five-page illustrated story about Johnny

the American solider. Tristan explains in his book that Johnny wears different

uniforms (i.e.: Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines), and that Johnny can have

any skin color. He explains further that Johnny not only helps to protect

Americans, but that he also travels to many different countries to help

the people there. In closing, Tristan tells us that the next time we see

"Johnny," we should give him [her] a hug and tell them "Thank

You." The final sentence in Tristan's book says, "May God Bless

and Protect All of Our American Soldiers."

Tristan is

a seven-year-old first grader with the Peachtree City Homeschool Group.

When he is not writing stories, Tristan enjoys karate, soccer, going to

the park, riding his bike, learning to play chess, and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh

cards.
