Changes this
year include:
The largemouth
bass length limit at West Point Lake has been reduced to 14 inches.
A largemouth
bass slot limit has been set for the new Bear Creek Reservoir in Jackson
County. This 16-22 inch protected slot limit is designed to help promote
trophy bass potential in that water body once the lake opens to fishing.
Several seasonal
trout streams have been changed to year-round status. This will provide
additional year-round fishing opportunities on streams in thirteen north-Georgia
counties.
A 2.3-mile
section of the Chattooga River in northeast Georgia has been added to
the popular delayed harvest program.
Saltwater
fishing regulation changes impacting red drum, whiting, and sponge crab
are highlighted in the regulations guide.
