Homeowners
participate in the tour at whatever level is comfortable for them. Some
are not even at home when the tour is going on, Evans said, while others
are eager to interact with their guests. "We have a Master Gardener
on this year's tour," said Evans, adding that another home will have
a carriage house with a display of the owner's woodwork.
Visitors are
not only from the local community, as people come from Atlanta and Newnan,
among other places, each year to see the sights.
The tour will
run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are
$10 in advance and available at Beard and Company at The Avenue. Same-day
tickets are $12 and can be purchased at St. Andrews Square.
