Assault victim's story questioned
A Fayetteville
man who was treated for a head injury at Fayette Community Hospital Friday
night originally claimed he was assaulted by an unknown person while at
the Tinseltown movie theater at the Fayette Pavilion, according to a police
report.
But a Fayetteville
police officer who responded to the hospital later determined that the
victim was assaulted with an umbrella at the American Legion's log cabin
on south Glynn Street, according to reports.
It is not clear
if the victim knew the person who attacked him.
