The DNR will
build a new, 18,000-square-foot museum with updated exhibits and constructed
on one level to be accessible to all visitors. In addition, the Little
Whie House plans to upgrade its facilities for researchers and archivists,
fulfilling Roosevelt's dream of making the records of the past available
"for the use of men and women in the future."
The Little
White House draws more than 110,000 visitors annually, more than any other
Georgia state historic site. The annual Commemorative Ceremony is held
at 2 p.m. each year on the front lawn and admission to the ceremony is
free after noon.
