In addition,
Hoffman said that it is anticipated that, in the future, Clayton State
will proceed with plans for additional baccalaureate degrees for CIMS,
including an additional undergraduate degree in the computer science area
and an undergraduate degree in mathematics.
"We will
be pursuing these new degrees to meet the needs of the Southern Crescent
and to prepare students for graduate school and for the needs of the business
community," said Hoffman.
When Clayton
State opens its new University Center this summer, faculty in both the
Department of Mathematics and Information Technology will occupy offices
on two of the floors of the new building. In addition, the new dean's
office will also be in the University Center.
