Scott Christopher,
the department's recreation maintenance facilities manager, was named
a Distinguished Professional of the GRPA Maintenance Section for his efforts
to reorganize the section and serve as its chairman for the first full
year.
The department
was also presented a state award for its brochure to recruit volunteers
that was designed by recreation program manager Carolyn Stanton.
"We're
all very proud of our award winners," said Randy Gaddo, director
of leisure services. "I hope that pride is shared by patrons, because
the excellence of our people and programs is what will continue to ensure
quality service to customers."
