Contractors in no hurry to finish stadium as McIntosh misses home games

Our second home game is scheduled

for this Friday, Sept. 20. Inquiring minds want to know: What kind of

genius awards a contract for new football stadium bleachers in August?

What company holds the contract? Why haven't the contractors been showing

up to work? Is there a penalty clause to protect McIntosh and Fayette

County? Will the project be completed as originally promised?

There is a story here that

Peachtree City wants to read. Please give this issue the press it deserves

in your next issue.

I have three children, two

of whom attend McIntosh High School. My daughter is a Chiefette. Her Chiefette

dance team is scheduled to kick off their new year with a tailgate party

prior to the Sept. 20 home game. If the game is not held at home, there

will be no event this year. This issue affects more than just the football

players.
