Six elementary
schools Eastside, Poplar Road, White Oak, Thomas Crossroads, Newnan Crossing
and Jefferson Parkway were redistricted last school, year to create the
new Willis Road district, following recommendations made by a parent's
redistricting committee.

wish to check on their district can do so by calling the Coweta County
Transportation Department at 770-254-2820.
Principal Smith
met with several newly-districted parents last May to discuss the upcoming
school year. He is meeting with teachers and staff in the coming weeks
for orientation, staff development and team building sessions.
"Everything
is going great," said Smith. "We've just put in the new playground.
The building itself is complete and I think parents will be very happy
with it. Several of our teachers already have their rooms ready to go.
We could open today."
The May 15
parent meeting also surveyed parents to find out if they would be willing
to serve on the Willis Road PTO or volunteer at the school in other ways.
Those interested can call Smith at 770-304-7995.
