One of the suspects, Phouth
Van, 35, of Riverdale was charged with keeping a place of prostitution,
carrying a concealed weapon and giving false information to a police officer.
Two others were also charged: Rujee Kongngoen, 31, of Riverdale for unlawful
practice of massage and Onanong Manivong, 28, of Riverdale for masturbation
for hire.
Police are using credit card
receipts and other means to contact customers of the "massage parlor"
which police claim was a house of prostitution.
"Our investigation is
still open," Murray said.
The arrests are yet another
sign that "big city" crime is starting to infiltrate Peachtree
City, the chief said.
"We will not let [type
of crime] corrupt our community," Murray said. "I think people
need to know there are things going on that they don't see. We are a larger
city and not just a small town anymore."
Murray said citizens are encouraged
to share information with the department's Criminal Investigations Division
"We encourage anybody
who has been there to come in and file a report," Murray added.
