WVFJ gets

its first assistant program director

WVFJ Atlanta's

Christian FM's program Director Jerry Williams recently announced Tiffany

Thorpe as the station's first assistant program director. After recently

winning Sparrow Record's Music Director of the Year Award, this promotion

comes as no surprise.

"Tiffany

has distinguished herself as the finest music director in the industry.

Her passion for our mission and commitment to excellence are without question.

This is a move that is well deserved and comes at an important place in

the growth of our team," Williams said.

Thorpe will

continue to handle music and mid-day duties along with her newrole as

assistant program director.

As APD she

will head up several areas, including utilizing available research resources,

spearheading special projects, and assisting in administrative and programming

areas.

Thorpe joined

WVFJ-FM two years ago as music director and mid-day host.

She has been

in the radio industry for 11 years

Since Thorpe's

arrival at WVFJ in May of 2000, the station has received a Dove Nomination

from the Gospel Music Association as "Station of the Year - Major

Market."
