The DOT will
also coordinate the multiuse path design elements from the LCI plan into
the road widening project.
One of those
elements is a cart path bridge that will span Hwy. 54 near the entrance
to the Wynnmeade subdivision. The bridge will be designed as a gateway
feature to welcome motorists to the city.
Peachtree City
Mayor Steve Brown said he was pleased to have the DOT's cooperation.
"We have
enjoyed working with DOT Commissioner Tom Coleman, the DOT staff and the
regional planners from the Atlanta Regional Commission," Brown said.
"Our relationship is getting stronger and the cooperation that we
have received on this project has been remarkable."
