According to
the Alzheimer's Association, today one in 10 Americans over 65, and nearly
half of those over 85 suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Those figures are
likely to rise if medical science is unable to find a cure. With Alzheimer's
becoming more prevalent, finding a safe, caring environment for an Alzheimer's
patient has become a top priority for many American families.
This Saturday,
visitors are invited to tour Friendship Place and meet the Alzheimer's
Care certified professionals on staff. Light refreshments will be served.
