The Fayetteville Planning and
Zoning Commission honored an outgoing member and kept its top two offices
unchanged during its first voting meeting of 2002.
Al Lipscomb was recognized
for more than six years of service on the commission, which ended in December
when her term expired and she decided not to seek another term. City officials
are reviewing applications for her seat and hope to make an appointment
in February.
Myron Coxe will remain in his
role as the commission's chairman for another year, with Kevin Bittinger
continuing as vice chairman. Bittinger and Allan Feldman began new terms
on the commission in January after being reappointed by Mayor Kenneth
Steele and confirmed by the City Council in January.
