The Peachtree
City Water and Sewer Authority is likely to formalize its billing arrangements
with the Fayette County Water System in a contract at its regular meeting
Monday night.
The water system
bills sewer customers for WASA in return for a $1 charge for each bill.
The water system also collects the fees and presents the funds to WASA
in a monthly check.
WASA's rates,
of course, are assessed for every 1,000 gallons of water used by sewer
customers.
Water system
officials have asked for the arrangements to be formalized in a contract
due to the need to provide a similar service for Fayetteville and Tyrone,
said WASA General Manager Larry Turner.
