Appreciating Indian neighbors

I have the privilege of living

next door to her family and have come to know and appreciate them and

many of their Indian friends as caring, loving, gentle people. I rejoiced

with them when they received their citizenship and have applauded their

patriotism long before Sept. 11.

Who flies the flag on national

holidays? They do! Who is registered to vote and gladly does so? They

do! Whose children are the best behaved in the neighborhood? Their's!

Who is ready to help a neighbor at anytime? They are! Who faithfully practices

the peaceful Hindu religion? They do!

My neighborhood has several

families of dark complexion. They are all great neighbors and citizens.

God bless America.
