lone rod was cast out and carefully placed on the bank. It slid into the
pond and disappeared under the water. The young angler called for help
and Dennis Chase, Director of the Southern Conservation Trust, came to
the rescue with a "snag line." Chase eventually landed the rod
and attached to the hook at the end was a huge catfish. Everyone was excited,
but none more than the young fisherman who almost lost his rod and reel
to the "big one that almsot got away."
