and cutting-edge medical research on breast cancer.
The Avon Breast
Cancer 3-Day is one activity of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which
began in 1993 as an initiative of Avon Products, Inc. to provide medically
underserved women with direct access to breast cancer early detection
and support services, and to fund medical research to fund the causes
of and a cure for breast cancer and other women's cancers.
Since the crusade
began, revolutionary advances have been made in the study of biology and
the development of technologies now being applied to the eradication of
breast cancer.
