Fairburn residents
may soon look back at the 1990s growth rate of 34 percent as the "good

Tony Cox delivered a growth update to the City Council Monday night, and

Cox said the city has seen 500 new housing units completed in the last

members, so Fairburn has grown by 1,250 residents since the U.S. Census
figures came out last year.
"We've
grown another 23 percent in the last year," Cox said.

figure is that there are still 2,219 homes approved that are still in
the construction phase. Using the same household numbers, 5,547 more residents
will soon call the city home.
