Afterward,
workers will complete landscape improvements begun in previous weeks.
This includes
mowing and edging lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers at several
intersections, cleaning grass growing in cracks along curbs, and pruning
limbs that block a clear line of sight down the streets. Fire and police
volunteers will also give special help to senior residents.
Hillandale
residents will compete in a noon yard contest to be judged by Edwards.
Winners will be announced at 1:30 p.m.
A number of
corporate sponsors have donated supplies, food and funds to the project.
