The Optimist Club of Peachtree

City will offer a tennis clinic Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Peachtree

City Tennis Center from 9 a.m.-noon. The clinic is open to ages 6-10 years

old and 11-15 years old. There will be free lunch for all the participants.

The Peachtree City Tennis Center's

ladies beginner tennis league is having registration for their

upcoming season. The league is a great way to meet new players and to

Fayette County Middle School

will have a volleyball club starting Aug. 20. The club will meet

two afternoons a week at the New Hope Baptist Church sports facility and

will be led by Joe Cockrell. The cost will be $80 per participant. Call

The first Tyrone Founders

Day golf tournament will take place Sept. 8 at Whitewater Country

Club. The fee is $65 per person or $260 per foursome. Hole sponsorship

The Peachtree City Optimist

Club is hosting its 12th annual golf tournament Sept. 10, at

the Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. Registration starts at

9 a.m. The entry fee is $70 prior to Sept. 1 and $75 on the day of the

Whitewater Country Club will

offer junior golf clinics Mondays through Thursdays from 9-11 a.m.

The clinics are open to ages 8-15. Fees are $50 for members and $60 for

non-members. They will also offer tennis classes Mondays, Tuesdays and

Thursdays. The fee is $50 for a two-week session for members and $60 for

System U Speed is now recruiting

people interested in the highly competitive sport of inline speed skating .

The team is currently practicing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4:30 to

6:30 at the Newnan Skate Palace. If you are 6+ years old and want to learn
