No experience

is necessary, but volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to work

on the site. Those who work on the roof or do any job that requires a

ladder must be at least 18 years of age. Adequate supervision and training

will be available for unskilled workers.

Construction

jobs include carpentry, framing, painting, brick work and landscaping.

Non-construction jobs include food collection and delivery, serving meals

(to workers), and water delivery.

Three shifts

are available: 8 a.m.-noon; 1-5 p.m.; and 6-9 p.m. Volunteers who can

work during the week are especially needed, Dutweiler added.

Millard and

Linda Fuller started Habitat for Humanity in America in 1976. Since that

time, more than 100,000 houses have been built for those in need of housing.

Each new owner is required to participate in building the home.

"Habitat

is a distinctively Christian, hands-on, world wide effort," Dutweiler

said.
