The Fayette County Recreation

Department will be accepting the names and telephone numbers of any adults

who are interested in playing tennis for fun at the Kiwanis Tennis

The first Tyrone Founders

Day golf tournament will take place Sept. 8 at Whitewater Country

Club. The fee is $65 per person or $260 per foursome. Hole sponsorship

The Fairburn Athletic Association

will have registration for football at Clarence Duncan Park every

Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Registration runs through July 28 for a

fee of $100 for football and $35 for cheerleading. Bring a copy of your

birth certificate.

Fayette County Middle School

will have a volleyball club starting Aug. 20. The club will meet

two afternoons a week at the New Hope Baptist Church sports facility and

will be led by Joe Cockrell. The cost will be $80 per participant. Call

The Peachtree City Tennis Center's

ladies beginner tennis league is having registration for their

upcoming season. The league is a great way to meet new players and to

The Peachtree City Optimist

Club is hosting its 12th annual golf tournament Sept. 10, at

the Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. Registration starts at

9 a.m. The entry fee is $70 prior to Sept. 1 and $75 on the day of the

The Optimist Club of Peachtree

City will offer a tennis clinic Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Peachtree

City Tennis Center from 9 a.m.-noon. The clinic is open to ages 6-10 years

old and 11-15 years old. There will be free lunch for all the participants.
