In March, the

Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta released the results of a social

capital assessment of Atlanta.

The Regional

Leadership Foundation is metro Atlanta's citizen organization, and this

summer is inviting thousands of men and women who have an interest in

building better communities to participate in a regional discussion of

social capital. The group will host four interactive forums around the

metro area and invites local leaders to join the nearest session.

Scheduled speakers

include Bill Bolling, executive director of the Atlanta Community Food

Bank, and Alicia Philipp, executive director of the Community Foundation

of Greater Atlanta. At each ocation, the foundation also will moderate

a panel discussion of local civic leaders.

July 17

 Maloof Auditorium, Decatur.

July 24

Dorothy Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex, Sandy Springs.

Aug. 7

Clayton State Continuing Education Center, Morrow.

Aug. 15

The forums

are free and open to the public, but because of limited seating, reservations
