This was the

first official track and field meet for Lovett and Gibbs in several years,

as they wanted to use the meet as a gauge for the Georgia Games next month.

They wanted to run faster times, but the track was soft from early morning

showers and it seemed that most runners were not posting fast times.

Lovett and

Gibbs plan to run in the Jacksonville TC Summer Track Classic in Jacksonville,

Fla., prior to the Georgia Games next month. However, they will conclude

their season by running in the Championship Series at the Summer Track

Classic in Peachtree City.

The coaches

were elated about the win, but more importantly, are hoping the kids from

PTC Flash really take note to their teaching next year. They know the

kids always listen to their instruction, but hopes now they will believe

these techniques really do work. The PTC Flash sent several members to

the state meet this year in Augusta and hopes to send many more next year.
