The initial
250-foot eastbound turn lane will be constructed by John Wieland Homes,
which agreed to do so as part of the approval for its Centennial subdivision
that will be located off MacDuff Parkway. At a later date, plans are to
extend the lane by 300 feet, with funds coming from either the city or
the Georgia Department of Transportation, accoding to Williams.
The second
phase would extend the turn lane to near the entrance to the Planterra
Ridge subdivision.
