The facility
is on a 27-acre tract in Fulton County's District 7. Edwards, who represents
the area, said, "This will be an absolute jewel for the community
and great boost for the arts in South Fulton."
The center
will begin operations Monday, June 18, with five week-long summer art
camp sessions for children 6 - 14. Classes for adults and youths will
begin in the fall.
Phase two of
the center, now in the design stage, will include a 375-seat theater and
additional landscaping.
