More than 800
residents are expected to take part in the event with hopes of raising
$109,000.
Registration
for WalkAmerica takes place at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
After the event
is over, Publix Supermarkets is hosting a post-walk celebration picnic.
Tracy Coker,
executive coordinator of Fayette Community Hospital, will walk along with
Fayette residents this year.
WalkAmerica
has been saving babies for more than 30 years. The event helps raise funds
that support research and programs that give babies born prematurely a
fighting chance at life.
