Ladies, toss

your bonnets in PTC mayoral campaign

Now that we are soon to be

voting again here in Peachtree City, I bring another thought to you.

Let's have beauty in this election.

Why not a lady mayor. I know of no lady who is running as yet, but I think

there must be criteria in place for these candidates, the three B's: Beauty,

brain and brawn. A lady mayor needs at least two of these to be a good

mayor. Beauty and brains would qualify as best of these.

We already have two pretty

council ladies, and so far I have no problem with the votes they have

cast. Perhaps one or both of these ladies might want to throw the hat

(oops, they don't wear hats these days) in the ring. I would be happy

to support either of them.

Brawn might be a plus for them,

just in case some malcontent might decide to get rowdy. You think Mr.

Public comes to the council meetings to get the latest political data.

Not so. Some come just to look at the beauty. We all know we already have

the most beautiful city in Georgia, but having a pretty lady mayor could

enhance the beauty even more.

I see many ladies jogging along

the cart path. I opt for the brawn and brain. That would be a good combination.

I know there are ladies here in our city who are just chomping at the

bits to be the first lady mayor of Peachtree City. One would probably

be a better mayor than those SAWB's (Andrew Young's adage).

Come on ladies. Get the pot

sweetened. Let us go over your platform and decide if we can vote for

you.
