is accepted by DOT, work on the project can continue.

When work continues

it is expected that the project can be completed within one to two weeks,

weather permitting.

The Coweta

County Board of Commissioners has expressed continued concern over the

amount of time the Welcome Road project has taken.

Welcome Road

is a major thoroughfare on the western side of the county.

The Welcome

Road Project is a DOT project and is not controlled locally. The Board

of Commissioners expressed optimism that the project is back on track

and will be completed quickly. If there are further delays, the board

wants to review any options it may have to speed completion of the project

to reopen Welcome Road.
