Public Safety Issues

Addressed at Chamber's Chairman's Roundtable

Fayette County

Sheriff Randall Johnson, Fayetteville Police Chief Johnny Roberts and

Peachtree City Chief James Murray spoke during a recent meeting of the

Chairman's Roundtable at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Chairman

Tate Godfrey presented each of the officials with a plaque thanking them

for working together to maintain standards of safety in Fayette County.

Each official

addressed the members of the Roundtable and discussed the new challenges

arising from the growth we are experiencing in Fayette County. They offered

suggestions on how businesses can be involved in helping promote public

safety, including business owners screening and knowing their employees

and being willing to prosecute offenders, sending the message that we

will not tolerate crime in Fayette County.

Each of the

agencies offers many opportunities for local businesses to learn how to

protect their businesses and customers from crime.

For information

phone your local law enforcement agency.
