Dean Johnson, a
native Minnesotan, founded Hometime Video
Publishing, Inc. in 1984 as a new source of
information for the do-it-yourselfer. Two years
later, Hometime premiered on public television,
providing the average homowner with step-by-step
home-improvement advice for professional-looking
results.
With Hometime now
in its 14th season, Johnson, who skis and coaches
his children's soccer teams, is joined by co-host
Robin Hartl, who is not only an avid
do-it-yourselfer, but also active with athletics
and her community.
