Camp teaches kids to be masters in the kitchen
Kids in the
Kitchen is the Fayette Community School's summer cooking
camp for boys and girls ages 9-14. Hands on activities
include making homemade pasta, bread, cookies, candy and
entire meals. Weekly themes include a tea party, party
foods, entrees from around the world, and table
decoration. Each child will make their own cookbook.
Camp runs
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Lafayette
Education Complex (old Fayette County High). The four
week-long sessions are June 26-30, July 10-14, July 17-21
and July 24-28. The cost is $75 per week plus a $25
