During last
year's two day event, Georgia placed 11th in the country
in the number of homeless animals that were adopted.
Besides a
terrific selection of pets, there will be balloons for
the kids, hourly prize drawings, and dog training and
obedience demonstrations. On Saturday at 2 p.m., Diane
Gordon, PETsMART Obedience instructor, will discuss the
various methods of obedience problems, including
housebreaking and "separation anxiety."
The
volunteers of the nonprofit Fayette County Humane
Society, Georgia Heartland Humane Society, Good Shepherd
Humane Society and Griffin/Spalding Humane Society hope
that everyone will come by to adopt a lifelong companion,
make a donation, or sign up to volunteer their time, on
behalf of the community's homeless animals.
