In
addition, PETsMART employees and friends will staff a car
wash during the event, to promote their "Just a
Buck, Change Their Luck" campaign for homeless
animals. For $10, customers will get a car wash as well
as a new limited edition "Just a Buck""
t-shirts.
"It's
win-win for everybody," said Kent Berkley, store
director. "I'm very proud of our employees and their
friends, coming in on their day off to donate their time
to such a worthy cause."
The Good
Shepherd Humane Society, a Coweta-based organization, is
working to build a no-kill animal shelter. Good Shepherd
volunteers currently foster animals in their own homes
until a suitable adoptive family can be found.
Jeanne
West, president of the society, said "We have many
terrific pets that need good homes, and we're happy to be
working with PETsMART to match them up with loving
owners."
