Southwest
Christian Hospice began operating in Union City in 1983.
Recently, it broadened its scope of services to provide
respite care for children while their parents and
caregivers take a break from their care. The new hospice,
Hope House, will be built on land adjacent to the current
hospice and will serve families with children suffering
from progressive, life-threatening illnesses and severe
disabilities. Like Southwest Christian Hospice, Hope
House will provide free care to patients. Donations to
Hope House are tax deductible.
