improve Church Street, just off the Fayetteville

Courthouse Square, as part of the city's Main Street

City

Council was prepared to choose a company to design the

project, but the state Department of Transportation had

not yet provided paperwork necessary to allow work to

proceed. Council tabled the matter until the paperwork is

part of the Square, improve drainage and traffic in the

area and bring street lighting in to cut down on crime.
