The course

at Stone Mountain Golf Club will be covered with junior

golfers this weekend as the Internatioal Junior Golf Tour

arrives for The Peachtree Junior Championship. This

annual event includes 85 top ranked junior golfers

between the ages of 11-19 for 36 holes of stroke play

competition.

The local

favorite this year is very local for fans in Fayette

County, it is David Werener, a 16 year old scratch golfer

from Peachtree City. Werner won the Maxfli golf

championship qualifier this past summer and has several

top three finishes in A.J.G.A tournaments.

Play begins

at 8 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 11 and the final round

begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. Stone Mountain

Golf Club is located just east of Atlanta in Stone

Mountain Park. Spectators are encouraged to come out to

the event and witness some terrific golf action.
