teams and winners of specialty contests will receive

prizes, and raffle tickets for other prizes will be

, Fayette County commissioners will

combine two meetings into one Monday with a

special called meeting at 9 a.m. to set the millage rate

for property taxes due next month.

The Board

of Commissioners normally has a work session first

Wednesdays and a business meeting second Thursdays.

Meetings normally conducted Oct. 6 and 14 will be

combined into the Oct. 11 session.

In addition

to the tax rate, commissioners will discuss the need for

new computer software to serve the Sheriff's Department,

and a resident's request to change county regulations

concerning day care facilities.

Also, among

the group's consent agenda items, commissioners will vote

on whether to spend $9,985 for awnings to adorn the rear

of the County Administrative Complex.
