The

McIntosh Lady Chiefs Volleyball team faced LaGrange and

Mays last week in what looks to be a challenging season.

McIntosh stormed past both teams, giving up only 15

points over their four matches.

The Lady

Chiefs defeated LaGrange 15-4, 15-5 and then beat Mays

15-1, 15-5. The matches were basically serving matches

with very few long volley rallys. Vanessa Contreras led

all scorers for McIntosh with 19 points. Kathryn Murphy

chipped in 11 while co-captain Katie Powers scored seven

points.

McIntosh's

other co-captain, Heather Dockstader, is currently out

with an injury.

Other

points came from Megan Bartels, who scored six points,

and Kelly Powers, who scored five points.

The Lady

Chiefs traveled to Centennial High School to meet Milton

High School and Woodward Academy last night after the

paper went to press. They will travel to Fayette County

High School Tuesday.
