Engineering will get no help from the Fayette County

Planning Commission in its quest to build a 61-home

subdivision on 155 acres on Goza Road at Old Greenville

Road.

After

hearing from protesting neighbors, the Planning

Commission Thursday unanimously voted to recommend denial

of the request to rezone the property from A-R, which

requires five-acre lots, to R-75, which allows three-acre

lots.

The County

Commission will consider the request at its Aug. 26

regular business meeting, 7 p.m. at the County

Administrative Complex.
