Carillo

began her early classical ballet training at the age of 8

in Yalera, Venezuela, with Doris Hart, Henry Danton and

Beverly Williamson. From 1980-1985 she studied Spanish

classics and Regional Spanish dances in Madrid. She

learned side by side with Antonio Alonso, Pedro Azorin,

Merche Esmerelda, Maria Magdalena, Christobal Reyes,

Racqui Lucas and Carmen Concha. More intensive training

in classic Spanish dances and Flamenco is available at

the Minerva Academy and Studio Amor de Dios.

Carillo has

taught and toured throughout Spain and Venezuela. She

toured Venezuela from 1990-1991 as a Lambada dancer under

the direction of Sono Rodven. Since 1991 Carillo has

served as owner-director-teacher of the Zambra Academy in

Caracas and offers classes in Serillianas, Rumbas,

Pasodobles, Spanish regional dances, Flamenco and Spanish

regional classes.

Each class

will be limited to 20 participants and a limited number

of observers. Early registration is accepted and

registration will be taken on a first come-first served

basis. Fees are $20 for one class, $17 if you take both
